Our business members are key partners with the Friends of the Library in expanding program offerings and other support to the Library. We welcome and thank Community Bank joining us at the Bronze level. Pictured from Community Bank are Monica Estrada and Erica Dawson.
Support reading in the community and purchase your raffle tickets for a chance to win one of these great prizes. All proceeds benefit the Friends of the Oswego Public Library and the Oswego Bookmobile.
Get your tickets now for the annual Pancake Breakfast sponsored by the Friends of the Oswego Library and the Oswego Bookmobile. This event supports literacy efforts in the community and takes place on Sunday, March 20 from 8 a.m. until noon at the Oswego Elks Club. Take out available if needed. Tickets available now at the main desk of the Library and from Friends and Bookmobile board members.
Any day is a good day to visit the Library but this is especially true for Saturday, Feb. 5, Take Your Child to the Library Day. Come on that day for Story Time with the Mayor and check out all the other activities planned for February.
The Friends of the Oswego Public Library provide support for the activities and events presented by the Children’s Room. We thank our business and individual members for joining with us to extend the love of reading to the children of this community.
The Oswego Public Library is pleased to announce that curbside pickup of holds has been added back to our services! A space is reserved in front of the library, on the left side of our front steps. Call us at 315-341-5867 when you arrive and we’ll gather all your holds and bring them to you.
Pickup Blu-rays, DVDs, magazines, hotspots, Chromebooks, books, and audiobooks without leaving your car. Call 315-341-5867 ahead of time or place a hold on the items you want at catalog.ncls.org. We are happy to suggest movies and novels based on your favorites or to get you lists of series, in order. If the book or movie is brand new, we will order it and contact you when it has been added to our collection.
Holds are available for seven days after their arrival. Items are available from all the public libraries in Oswego, Jefferson, Lewis, & St. Lawrence Counties. There are also thousands of ebooks and audiobooks available entirely online through overdrive.ncls.org
Our fully accessible public library is open to all Mondays through Thursdays 9 AM – 7 PM and Friday & Saturday 9 AM – 5 PM. You may also stay in your warm car and we will bring your requests to your door. Please call to let us know you have arrived.
Our membership drive is on now and we want you…long time members, short time members, lapsed members, never been a member. Anyone can be a friend of the Oswego Public Library! The more members we have, the more we can do to support the programs and events at the Library.
Now that the Library is reopened fully, we need you more than ever before. Appealing to your love of the library are the members of the FOL board, from left, Ann Allen, Kris Bushey, Amy Green, Jeanne Brown, Mary Smith, Stephanie Magrisi, Janet Hutcheson, Joe McManus, Jake Dodd and Scott Verburg.
